Paid Staff May Take You and Attend Your Appointments

You might have a paid staff person take you to and attend your appointments with you.

Paid staff have a different role than a trusted family member or friend.

They may not know your medical history or your current needs.

It is important for you to speak for yourself if you can.

Have your medication and provider lists ready.

Have your list of allergies ready, if you have any.

Prepare questions and concerns and bring them to the appointment.

Paid staff will need your approval to attend appointments with you. They may also have to sign a form that says that they are allowed to know your health information.
