Weapons are things that are used to fight, defend, attack, or kill people or animals.

There are many types of weapons, like guns, knives, tasers, and bombs. There are other things that are sometimes used for self-defense but can also be considered weapons, like mace or baseball bats.

Weapons are not toys, but some toys look like weapons. Even if it is a toy, there are potential dangers of carrying or pretending to use toy weapons as if they’re real. Police and other people might not be able to tell the difference and someone might feel that they are being threatened with a dangerous weapon.

In movies, video games, and TV shows weapons are very popular. The good guys and the bad guys both use weapons to be powerful and to win. Movies, video games, and TV are not real. In real life, weapons are very dangerous. They can hurt or kill people accidentally or on purpose.
