People have weapons for many different reasons:

• Some people have weapons for their work. People like police officers and the military need weapons to do their jobs.
• Some people have weapons for hunting.
• Some people have weapons for a collection.
• Some people have weapons to protect themselves from other people who are trying to hurt them.
• Some people have weapons to hurt other people on purpose.
• Some people have weapons to kill people.
