Weapons

There are a lot of different laws about different types of weapons. Let’s talk about some important laws about guns:

• You have to be at least 18 years old to buy a gun. For some types of guns, you have to be 21. Some people under 21 can have certain types of guns under the supervision of an adult.
• If you are drunk or high from alcohol or drugs, you cannot have or use a gun.
• If you have a felony, you almost always cannot have a gun. Felonies are serious crimes.
• You have to have special training to get a special license to hide a gun that you are carrying around.
• Guns can be very dangerous for children. Some parents teach their kids about using guns safely and some don’t. You should not bring your guns or have guns around children without their parents.
