Staying Safe at Home


If you live with your family, you probably have rules about having guns or other weapons in your home. Every family is different in how they feel about weapons and guns. Make sure to talk with your family about your rules.

If you live with other people, you need to find out how they feel about weapons. They might be afraid of having weapons in the house. They might have weapons that make you feel afraid. You should talk about this with someone you trust.

If you have staff in your home, they cannot buy weapons for you or give you weapons. Your staff should not bring any weapons when they are helping you.

If you have a weapon at home, find out if you are allowed to have it and where it can be kept safely so no one can accidentally get hurt by it. Make sure someone you trust knows about the weapon. Do not let people play with your weapon.
