Unsure of Your Feelings
Sometimes we stop ourselves from feeling because we don’t know how we feel, are scared of how we feel, or we worry we will be in trouble.
Stressful feelings feel like a knot in your stomach or tightness in your throat.
It may help to pay attention to how your body feels. It may help to remind yourself that it is OK to feel how you feel.
Be sure you have a person that you can talk to about your feelings who helps you feel safe and comfortable sharing your feelings.
Think about who that person is for you…
Think of a place you can go where you are safe, free to be yourself, able to speak up, and where you can talk to someone.
It is important to know how you feel because this is important information about you! This is how we know when something is wrong. This is also how we experience happiness.
