Human Trafficking

Human trafficking doesn’t mean people are moving from place to place. People can stay in one place and still be victims of human trafficking.

People who traffic other people are not nice. They can seem very nice and will pretend to be friends or lovers to earn trust, but they are not being honest or fair. They lie and manipulate to get people to trust them.

Human traffickers are like the worst kind of bully who tries to make a lot of money by selling someone else’s body. Human traffickers can be people you know or your family knows. Human traffickers can be strangers you meet online or in the community.

It is very hard to tell who is a human trafficker. It can be very hard to stop someone from hurting you or taking advantage of you if you think you know them. It can be very scary when someone you trust wants to do bad things to you.
