Labor Trafficking
Labor trafficking is when people work very hard and are taken advantage of by others who make a lot of money off of their work. Victims of human trafficking might work on farms, in factories, hotels, restaurants, nail salons, or other businesses. They don’t make a fair and legal wage.
Labor trafficking can also mean carrying illegal things for other people. People can use other people to carry drugs, weapons, or stolen things so the person in charge doesn’t get in trouble. When people carry illegal things for other people, they are called “mules” and they are victims of human trafficking.
