Create a Positive Personal Profile
No one can fail Discovery. The process of finding a job can take time. By identifying your themes and getting hands on experience with working you will start to visualize yourself in certain roles in your community.
All the information you gather during Discovery is captured in a Positive Personal Profile. This profile acts as a summary of who you are, documenting:
- Dreams and Interests: What you are passionate about and what your dream life looks like in 3 to 5 years.
- Talents and Preferences: Your natural gifts, learning styles, values, and environmental preferences (e.g., working alone vs. with people, indoors vs. outdoors).
- Dislikes and Challenges: "Dealbreakers" or jobs you would hate, along with any specific challenges you face, and the solutions or accommodations needed to overcome them.
- Support System: The people you go to for help and advice (your "Team Map").
