Getting Refills

Ordering and getting prescription refills is another task you might need to do.

Once you have taken all of your medicine, you may need some more of the same medicine. You need to ask your doctor if you need more.

Your doctor can let the pharmacy know when you need more of your medication.

The pharmacy will let you know when the medication is ready for you to pick it up.

Sometimes, you need to call the pharmacy and ask them if your medication is ready.

You can also call the pharmacy when you know that you need a refill. When you call the pharmacy, you will need to know your name, your birth date, the name of your medication and the prescription number. You can see the prescription number on the label on your medication bottle.

Many pharmacies can set your prescriptions up to automatically refill. This means they will know when it is time for you to get more of your medication. They will call you or text your phone when it is ready to be picked up.

Some pharmacies will even deliver your medication to your home.
