Staying Active
Physical activity is another important part of living a healthy life.
There are many ways in which we can be active. You can be physically active while doing house or yard work.
Some examples of physical activities are taking a walk outside each day, working in the yard, gardening, going swimming, stretching, doing yoga, or running.
Going to a gym or to a community recreation center is one way to be active.
Joining a club or organization like Special Olympics can be another way to stay active. Clubs can help you get involved in organized sports, like baseball, basketball, soccer, or bowling.
It is important to be active to help you have a healthy weight, keep you from getting sick, and keep you strong and able to do things you want to do.
